The footage reveals an armed person approaching Guthrie's front door, clad in long sleeves and pants, carrying a backpack. The individual attempts to obstruct the camera's view using a glove and vegetation before withdrawing from the scene.
Investigators emphasized that the video originated from residual data retrieved through backend system analysis. They noted the subject’s deliberate efforts to interfere with the doorbell camera early on the morning of Nancy Guthrie's disappearance.
Despite anticipation that home surveillance would yield vital clues, the doorbell camera was found disconnected on an early Sunday. Moreover, the property's doorbell camera subscription was inactive, which prevented access to further footage following detected movement moments later, as explained by Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos.
